maria the quilter

For those of you who loved the quilting on my Beach Quilt (yes, that IS a link), please meet my friend Maria Denise Hall.

She is a crazy, cool, amazingly incredible quilter and I am blessed to call her "friend."  I stand in awe of her capability to look at the quilt and let it talk to her before starting so that each stitch is perfect for the finished product.  Please take a peek at this video to learn more about her.

I recently entered a challenge competition in which we had to take an "Ugly Fat Quarter" that someone sent to us, add in a neutral solid and up to two additional fabrics to make a modern version of an assigned block.  Her block was Rail Fence and she won first place for her little mini (they had to be 18"-24" in size).

Also, take the time to zoom in on this quilt.  You will join me in the awe-standing line.

A few close ups of a couple of the blocks.  Each and every block, strip, nook, or cranny is quilted in a different pattern throughout the entire quilt.

Now, how to contact her?  Let's get started.
