Brazos House Retreat - "Biker Fun"

The Biker girls are arriving and everyone is soooo excited to see one another.  The hum in the room tells me that so many re-connects are taking place and the joy is obvious to hear.  I LOVE when the room buzzes.  Frieda gets us going with the cutest TA-DA ---- (psst, she was a tweener and has been working on it more than this morning).

Janet has a TA-DA too.  She spent the last few days on her own retreat in a nearby hotel and got a LOT accomplished.

Val finished up one started during Tweener as well --- TA-DA

I have finally buckled down and stitched a bit.  My Talking Turkey blocks are done.  It was great to just sew and enjoy the atmosphere in the room.

Lana has her Bubbling Cauldron block TA-DA

We are expecting a turn in the weather and this is a chance to get down to the river.  A large group are ready to go ---- so much fun to get out and be together.

Another new view before our drop to the water.  Kay had also told us to peek in the windows of the cabin - so we did.  It is just so dang cute inside.  I'd certainly like to stay here.

A few are in the water right away.  It's not terribly cold, cut is definitely up from when we were her a few days ago.  Bobbi and Kelly give it a valiant effort.

Just barely caught the first group for a picture before they start back to the house.  Whew.

A little later --- the rest of us are heading back.  (Getting Gwen to stop hunting for rocks long enough to take this was our big challenge.)

Just look at all the wonderful conversations going on around me.  It's heaven!!!

Sewing just keeps on moving forward and the variety continues too.  This TA-DA by Susan is wonderful!

Janet has another TA-DA --- Just look at all those strings.  Yep, it's not the fabric, but lots and lots of strings.  Lou also has a block TA-DA as she is doing a Block of the Month program.

The days passes just like that ---- and I don't even make last ladies standing.  These three do -- you go girls.

Good Morning once again!  I am ready for a fun day and hope everyone else is too.  Betty brought a show and share jacket that is just so stinking cute.

AND she has her Block of the Month TA-DA too.

As we did last weekend, shopping bags are being worked on.  Lessons given and away they go.

Here they come ---- quickly.  Bobbi and Shirley

Susan has another TA --- We are laughing because it is not finished yet so no DA.  She's taking a bread from those little tiny pieces for a bit.

Game Night!!!  Let the Biker Girls shine!!!  Just look and smile -- these gals went all out.

So, so much Biker Fun tonight.

And Susan

Janet with a top TA-DA

And the end of another wonderful day.  Once again, I hit a wall early on and missed last ladies standing, but they carried on in supreme fashion.

Day 3 - That means it's Saturday and even though I am fretting about what is going on in the world and at home, I am trying so hard to enjoy these last days together.

Another bag TA-DA - this time from Lou.  What a cute pocket!

Sooooo, over the course of the last few days, someone had procured one of the donkeys and it was going to a new home.  Today, it is back.  Outside the fences.  Interesting.  Of course that calls for apples and attention.  Where are the others?  I finally locate the two females that are due to deliver babies at any moment.  Peek a boo -- I see you two.

A quick walk down to the river shows how much the water has risen.  No more riverbed play.  The new platform is now underwater.

Upon my return, Val has a TA-DA

Frieda with another crazy cool TA-DA

Eveline and Betty have their bag TA-DA's

Followed by a top from Susan

Group picture time!  I love each person out here so very much and it has been great to have been hidden away together while madness has taken over the world.  We are just hoping we can find toilet paper when we get home.  Back row:  Janet, Shirley, Val, Frieda, Leanne, Lana, Diane, Kelly, Gwen, Gladys.  Front:  yours truly, Bobbi, Paula, Susan, Betty, Lou, and Eveline.  (Sorry it's blurred.)

Lana has a TA-DA

Followed by Eveline

and me, kinda.  I have Talking Turkey through the first border.

Susan has jumped on the Witch's Night Out bandwagon and has her hat TA-DA

Val with a TA-DONE!!!  Love these kind and this one is super fun cos she won these jelly roll strips at the February retreat.

Lou and Betty with more block TA-DA's

Kelly has her own TA-DA.  This is the block that has been cut and cut and cut.  It originally started out as a nine-patch (no orange).  Yep.

Janet with a bag TA-DA

I've made it tonight.  Last picture ladies -- look how many there are.  It's a party tonight.

Sunday Morning --- always so sad and this time is way strange.  Everyone pretty much packed up last night and the house is breaking down rapidly this morning.  I don't want to overlook my newbies and let y'all know how very  much we loved having them.  Welcome Bobbi and Diane -- can't wait to see you again.

The last of us with a wonderful breakfast visit.

And we are outta here.  Love these two beyond measure.  Their help lets me keep doing these retreats for without them, I'd have given up a long time ago.  Brazos Out.

Oh -- a quick pick of the goodies received this month.  I am soooo spoiled.  Until we can do this again --- my love to all.
