The Roman Empire - Brazos Retreat

 The second weekend retreat of our November back-to-backs has begun.  The Roman Empire fun has begun.  To see all the decoration, please click on this Tweener Link as be did them during our "between" time.  The official opening event begins at Babe's with a traditional lunch.  Not a lot attend this time, but that doesn't stop us from having a great time.

Angie has a mosaic class for this weekend - she gets it started.

The first step is to glue your glass pieces in place (some used much more glue than others, but it's all just glue).

Sherri has a TA-DONE from last summer at MSQC.

The committee for this year's retreat --- one again they are smashing it out of the park.  Sherri does all the signs (except doors), Jen handles the main game, Stephannie, Cindy, and Angie all work on decorations, Angie also does a make and take, and I just oversee and help wherever needed.  I am sooooo thankful for them.

18th - Saturday starts out with a jacket TA-DA from Cindy.  She's been working on it the whole retreat and only has binding left.

Finishing up the mosaics - a slight glitch has occurred, but it's being worked through by the greatest minds.

Another game takes place - three teams have to dress someone using toilet paper and items around the house.  Here are our final contestants and Frieda wins!!!  You can't see in this picture, but she even has sandals.  This was such fun.

Last night, last ladies.  It truly is our last night here and the past nine years have been amazing.  I think the only one missing is Lana, who didn't feel well and went to bed.

19th - Well, that's it.  After nine years, it is Brazos Out.  We are onto a new adventure and hope that you follow along with us as we make a change.  We're super excited for 2024 and already have many plans in  motion.  Watch for our May retreat and the theme of Welcome to Our New Gnome.
