Brazos House Retreat - Snapshot in Time

Round TWO begins with tradition.  As the room fills up, a group of us is off to Babe's for lunch and manage to meet up with Betty and Lou, who are attending a nearby retreat.  There's always room for two more at our table.

While waiting for all to gather for a pic --- some chicken love.

Smile y'all.

Kelly has returned with the final block for her Dawn's Early Light top - check it out.

Ahhhh - her TA-DA

Jen arrives and all is good in my world --- love time with her at retreat.

Frieda has a dress TA-DA for a future (as in any day) granddaughter.

Thursday night last ladies standing --- I didn't make it.

Getting the day started right - Sherri with her mug rug TA-DA

Scene of the room -

Our swap table -- in it's final stages.  It WILL all be gone by retreat end - one way or the other.

Tonya with her TA-DA -

And it spurs a line of TA-DA's --- so, so fun.

Eveline with a TA-DA

Followed up by Terry with her TA-DA

Our Snapshot in Time has some photos from earlier days to share.

And game night begins with some steps back in time as well --- some waaaay back.  We're only missing Jen as she had to go back home for a graduation ceremony.

Finishing out the pics -

Lana is EMERALD!!

And Samantha is PEARL -

A roll-off between me and Debi for round one winnings -

Success!!

At this point, I starting singing old school songs from my youth and the Giddings Gang chimes in with theirs.  I only managed to get a bit of it to share -

And a screen shot of the reaction after.

Round two goes to Eveline -

Debi's Mug Rug -

Amber's TA-DONE!!!

What a great day!  Last ladies sharing time together tonight.  As soon as we are off to bed, a storm starts with crazy wind, getting some back out of bed again.  As I heard the chairs go across the front porch, I realized that maybe cars will have issues, BUT we really can't do much about it right now.  Back to bed.

Some early morning damage.  A few trees are down but the closest they came to any cars is Debi's.  We were lucky.

Paula's husband, Joe Pat, and her sister, Pam, came to visit and gifted all with shirts that have her picture on the back.  This was the perfect opportunity to take the group picture as well.

These women are the best on the planet and I'm so crazy blessed to have them in my life.  What a fantastic group.  Back row:  Ramona, Lydia (hiding), Frieda, Kelly, Samantha, Terry  Middle row:  Gwen, Jen, Crystal, Amber, Linda, Tonya, Debi, Sherri, Amy  Front row:  Me, Lana, Eveline

Just one quick pic of the river --- soooooo low.

Okay, maybe two.

Mug rugs on parade, round two.

Gwen and Tonya mug rug TA-DA

Samantha TA-DONE

AND her Dawn's Early Light TA-DA

As Lana was getting ready to do her TA-DA, it was discovered that four of her eight borders were on upside down.  It only took 9 people 30 minutes to remove all eight borders and have them ready for her to attach once again.  Love in a picture (taken before Tonya and I sat down)

Frieda has been saving up her TA-DA's.  Are you ready?  Here we go: a quilt top, a dress, some bibs, some bags, and an apron.  She's had a busy week.

Lydia with her mug rug TA-DA

Lana's reassembled En Provence TA-DA -- woot woot

Lydia also has a TA-DA show:  Four gorgeous blocks.

Amy with her cat quilt #1 TA-DA

Followed by #2

Eveline follows with another TA-DA of her own.  She's having a great weekend too.

Amber with another TA-DA

Last night, last ladies standing.  It was a quiet evening with lots of focus on projects, but so nice to just be with these ladies.

Sunday morning craziness and soon it is Brazos Out!!!
