Fancy Fibers Studio - Farmersville, TX

I've been away from home so very much since the middle of April and that means, naturally, that we take off and explore some of the smaller towns in Texas today.  While in Farmersville, we stumble upon these yarn-wrapped posts and look to see Fiber Arts Studio beckoning us in.

Inside we find Mary Berry, the owner, busy working but she takes time to visit with us and share the love she has for her art.  Spinning and weaving reign supreme here and it's WONDERFUL!  Take a look around with us as we wander the studio.  Looms, loom, and more looms, with a couple of cool spinning wheels thrown in as well.

Some projects in process -

this one uses strips of denim --- how COOL!  It's going to be a fabulous rug.

Beautiful blue for our June color of the month.

It's simply amazing here and if you get a chance, PLEASE stop in or, even better, sign up for a class and make yourself a one-of-a-kind scarf.  Oh, and say hi to Mary Berry - the weaver, not the English baker.
