The beginning of Tweener time happens as the first retreat comes to an end. There are a few of us staying between (mostly those who travel great distances to be here). This is my down time so I'm not always around and no one provides food for you. It truly is our quiet time. However, sewing still happens. Ramona has a TA-DA
Frieda has an Origami bag TA-DONE and Tonia has her Rail Fence Bag TA-DONE!
Gwen has her Origami Bag TA-DONE and I have no idea why I don't have her composition book TA-DONE as well.
Just a few of us hanging out. It won't last.
Gotta feed the gang. Sunday night dinner in Glen Rose. Tomorrow, a few hit the road.
13th - One of the fun parts of tweener time is that it allows for area experiences. I had put out a "help" request for some fabric Jen was missing and Tana Mueller answered the call. She has a shop in Crowley, TX and is willing to meet us today while she packs up for a show. We are off on a small road trip. As we left a bit early, when we get to Joshua, there is a quilt shop that I've not visited before and we have time. A quick stop.
Such a pretty entrance.
Glimpses inside the shop - then are very panel-centric.
Classroom - the dog in the back is Chester Pepperpot. Do you know?
Jen and I spot this quilt on the wall and this is where things go a little sideways. I don't want to speak badly of anyone, so just know that we will find it elsewhere.
She is wonderful and so is Lisa, her assistant. We find just what Jen needs and also get information on a class that could be fun for tweener time in July. We shall see.
After I've gone to bed for the day, Ramona has another TA-DA --- she's a machine.
14th - Jen has departed and my area is sooooo empty. I am working on blocks, but hit road blocks on finishing the Loyal Union blocks, so no pictures yet. I've started in on Dear Jane now.
Dinner is out once again. This time into Cleburne and Pasta Fina's (although the GPS was WAY off in pronunciation). Food was awesome and so were the drinks. It'll be a Tweener repeat, for sure.
15th - Linda has been working on this for days. Days!! Here is her TA-DA
This Dear Jane block is just plain scary.
Ramona with another TA-DA. Told ya - machine.
16th - We are gearing up for the second group today. Beds are all made, kitchen and house are clean and floors are done. Bring it on. But first, another book TA-DONE for Frieda. This is the end of our Tweener Time. Back to work.
