August 2018 Quilt Update

Welcome to the Monthly Update.  What does that mean?  Well, it's just little ol me trying to recap what took place during the month so that I can keep track.  I kind of use it like a journal.  Please sit back and enjoy a peek into a month of my life.

Any links that you click in this post will open in a DIFFERENT window, allowing you to continue reading this without losing the page.

So . . . . If you have followed me in the past, you know that I have set CRAZY goals each month and it's tough when they just don't happen.  I think goals are wonderful - believe me, without them I fear my lack of  movement.  The thing is -- I just don't want another year of unattainable goals making me feel stressed.  I have a busy year ahead with lots of surprises, family happenings, and retreats.  Those items alone give me PLENTY of deadlines to deal with.  As a result, I am introducing the new goal section - hahahaha, it's the same, only reasonable.  Let's hit the ground running . . . or not.  How about a hot drink and a good read?  See, life is good.  Oh, and the goals each month are at the end of the post now.

The previous 2018 monthly update links are located at the end of this entry.  I hope that you make it that far.

Autumn Splendor - Introduction

Due to popular demand, I am introducing this year's mystery.  With all of the medical craziness that has been in our home since May, I had pretty much talked myself out of doing a mystery this year.  However, I am a toothless wonder stuck in my house so, why not?

Autumn Splendor - Summary

Can you believe it's my fourth mystery!!  I am shocked at how time has flown and yet am super excited.  I hope ya'll have just oh so much fun with it and please, please, please share what you have done.  I can't wait to see each one.  The first clue goes live September 1st.

I am gathering all of my mystery posts and placing them here so that you can link up and find what you want easily.  They will each open in a new page, leaving you access to this post.  You can always find this page by clicking the tab at the top of the blog.  Please become a follower and you will always know when the new post is up.  Welcome to everyone and comments are always appreciated.

Quilt Plano - Eye Candy Time

Nervous.  Yep, that's me.  I have managed to agree to attend a breakfast (what am I thinking as I can't eat?) with friends and then time at the quilt show where people will see me.  I'm so very self-conscious still and until this whole mouth experience is behind me in November/December -- well, let's just say I know how silly I look.  AND OLD.  So very old.  Mirrors and cameras don't lie.  At any rate, I am going to follow through on this commitment and away I go.  Breakfast is at Poor Richard's Cafe in Plano and soon we are seated and enjoying some catching up.  It's so great to see people again and I know just how much I have missed the sociality of being together.  We take our time and enjoy a couple of hours together before separating and departing for the quilt show.
