En Provence - Clue 4 - Bonnie Hunter - Mystery Quilt

Another week has flown by.  It's crazy but I am not sure where it went.  Why is December always like this?  I know some of you thought it drug on and on while waiting for the next clue, but I really didn't have time to even think about it and now, here we are again.

Allison spent the night last night and we were able to work on UFO's all evening along with setting up for today.  It's nice to have a head start and just be ready to go when the clue posts.  Let's get to it.  Mister is up and it is almost 6 a.m. so I roll over and check Bonnie's blog to see if the clue has posted.  Nope.  A quick refresh and there it is.  Time to get up.

Less than an hour later, with tea and banana bread, we are off to the cutting table.  Allison has spent he last few weeks learning about Gilmore Girls and the story lines in it.  I have waited to watch the new episodes with her and we watched one last night.  Today we are onto the second one first thing.  Do you not LOVE what is going on in this picture?  It makes me giggle just looking at it.

We are doing a repeat of clue 2 with a different color this week.  Purple and neutral strips are everywhere and while I am using my tri-rec rulers, Allison is going to be using her Accuquilt cutter.  Old and new schools combine.  Well, not really.  I mean, after all, I'm not using scissors and templates.  THAT's old school.

We have less units to make than we did in clue 2 so we are both feeling that this is going to be a pretty easy week.  I'm cut in no time and ready to sew.  So is Allison.  However, we take a little breakfast break first.

After making two test units to be sure they are lining up right, I am off and running.  The right sides are on and it's time for the lefties to play.

Another Gilmore Girls is on and we are moving to the final piece of these units.  Woohoo.

I told Allison last week that I needed to remember to string units around the house at least once this mystery as it has become tradition.  Today is the day I remember to pull the chain and do something with it before clipping everything apart.

I have this lovely Christmas tree right behind me as I'm sewing.  It needs a bit of garland today and the purple looks lovely with the blue and silver ornaments.  Do you agree?

Time for lunch.  Now to clip all these apart and give them a press.  Allison and I are both finished with our sets by 2:00 and she has made 15 extra.  I tell you that because she has been making TWO sets of each clue.  That means she only has 65 to go on the second set.  It's still early and I know she can do it.  Here comes the cutter again.

We end the last season, "Fall", of Gilmore Girls and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ending.  Well played.  I have the clue finished and ready for another round next week.  With Cutting Edge in the DVD player, we just keep sewing (channel Dory).  That means I am back to working on my UFO from 1995.  Yes, you read that right.  Stay tuned for info on it later.  Thank you, Allison, for another wonderful Friday - so leisurely and fun -- see you next week -- same bat time, same bat channel.  To everyone else:  Thank you so much for stopping in again this week and stay creative.   For those visiting through Bonnie's Link-up --- here is your LINK back.

    1. Thank you so much. That is my own design called Chasing the Sun. There is a tab for it at the top of the blog. It was this years Back-to-School mystery.
