Sapphire Blues - Clue 5

Well, last week's post was not entirely accurate.  At the time it posted, I was not at the beach any longer.  I had to leave on Friday for a family emergency and just couldn't get the wherewithal to make the change.  Today, I am home.  Recuperating from a VERY hectic and crazy solid month.  Most was incredible -- some was difficult.  I have truly felt the beauty of sapphires and the blues of our title all in one month.  It is what it is and with that -- let's move on.

This week we are going to be building onto the units previously made.  That makes the directions pretty simple and not too much cutting is involved to boot.  Good, right?

As always, please read all the way to the end before starting --- it helps avoid some of those mistakes I've been seeing.

Sapphire Blues - Clue 4

I'm still at the beach grounding my soul and loving life, but here is a picture from the cruise last month.  BLUES!!!!  It's all around me.  I see this quilt everywhere I go.

Surfside Beach Retreat - Session 2

Let session 2 begin.  We still have Sharron with us as she cannot get home due to flooding in Houston.  We have at least three cars on the road heading this way and everyone is fairly worried about them.  It is raining buckets!  Seriously.  Typically on this day, we go out to dinner as a group, but the vote is to have one of the already stressed cars stop and get pizza.  I know it seems harsh, but they have to go right past it.  The Jennifer's come to the rescue -- drown to the core, but with dinner in hand.

Surfside Beach Retreat - Tweeners

We have said good-bye to the first group and the rains are crazy hard.  W are directly in the eye of Imelda!!  Goodness.  Water is once again coming into the house from EVERYWHERE!  Argh.  I am a very unhappy camper and have called the owners.  Watch it come in the door.

Surfside Beach Retreat - Session 1

September is finally here and that means the beach retreat.  Woohoo!  I look so forward to this time each year and even with all the unease surrounding me right now, the ocean is calling.  I'm packed and ready to roll.

Sapphire Blues - Clue 3

I've had 2 weeks to recover from the cruise and as you read this, I am relaxing on the beach in South Texas.  Yes, once again the deep blue is part of my life.  This picture is from last year, but the view is the same.  Do you see this years colors?  Ahhhhh ---

Sapphire Blues - Clue 2

Hello there.  I am back on land after a week long cruise with friends and I have to say that it's been blue, blue, blue everywhere.  The color -- not the emotion.  We had such a great time and plans are already underway for a repeat performance next year.  I know, I know -- that's not why you are here -- ready for a clue?

As always, please READ ALL THE WORDS before starting.  Ya just never know if I've screwed up a picture or something.  I'm human -- shocked ya didn't I?  Here we go.

Sapphire Blues - Clue 1

Whoosh!!!!  Did you blink?  I think I did because summer has come and gone and I'm not sure I saw it.  Did I?  Did you?  Have you prepared for the mystery?  New rotary blade, new needle?  Clean machine?  Pressed fabrics?  If so, we are ready to rock (hahahaha - sapphire) and roll.  This next part you will read so many times over the next few weeks and will want to scream it back at me, but . . . . READ ALL THE WORDS.  Seriously.  Each time someone has had an issue with a clue -- it has come down to missing part of the instructions - through simple reading.  Those few minutes spent doing more than looking at pictures will save you so much heartache in the end.  Okay, okay -- off the soapbox now.  Let's get this party started.
